Atualmente, as técnicas que garantem o bem-estar e a saúde dos trabalhadores são consideradas a principal estratégia para as empresas se assegurarem e tornarem competitivas no mercado. Este trabalho foi realizado num frigorífico típico da indústria suinícola do Brasil, com objetivo de analisar as posturas assumidas pelos trabalhadores do setor de embalagens secundárias e expedição. A coleta de dados foi feita através da aplicação de questionários e pela observação direta e indireta. Em relação à análise postural, as atividades que apresentaram posturas consideradas mais críticas foram aquelas referentes a: lançar o pacote de carne para a caixa de armazenamento, bater caixa no setor de embalagens secundárias, e a de encher caixas para expedição. Todas essas sendo classificadas na categoria 4, o que requer uma ação corretiva imediata. Outras posturas que merecem atenção são aquelas provenientes das atividades de retirar o pacote com carne da esteira no setor de embalagens secundárias, e as de bater caixa, de montar paletes e puxar paleteira para o interior das carretas, envolvidas no processo de expedição. Essas posturas foram classificadas na categoria 3, o que significa que necessitam de atenção a curto prazo. Constatou-se que as condições de trabalho dos funcionários nos dois setores avaliados devem ser alteradas, visando proporcionar um melhor bem-estar e saúde aos mesmos. Acredita-se que esse objetivo possa ser alcançado com as recomendações apresentadas nesse trabalho, tornando o processo mais eficiente e eficaz.

Currently, the techniques that ensure the welfare and health of workers are considered the main strategy for companies to be secure and become competitive in the market. This work was performed in a typical refrigerator of the pork industry in Brazil, with the objective of analyzing the postures assumed by workers in the secondary packaging and expedition sector. Data collection was done through questionnaires and direct and indirect observation. In relation to postural analysis, the activities that had more critical attitudes considered were those related to: launching the package of meat to the storage box, hitting the boxes in the secondary packaging sector, and filling boxes for expedition. All of them were classified in the category 4, which indicates the need of an immediate corrective action. Other positions that deserve attention are those related to removing the package with beef from the conveyor belt in the secondary packaging sector, and to hitting boxes, assembling pallets and pulling pallets set into the trucks involved in the expedition process. These postures were classified in category 3, which means that need attention in the short-term. It was found that the working conditions of employees in the two sectors evaluated must be changed in order to provide a better welfare and health to them. It is believed that this goal can be achieved with the recommendations presented in this work, making the process more efficient and effective.
