Edifícios que abrigam centros de educação infantil devem configurar-se de modo a motivar o interesse do aluno e o trabalho do professor. Sua infra-estrutura deve possibilitar que os profissionais envolvidos instaurem planos pedagógicos voltados ao aprendizado e ao desenvolvimento educacional das crianças de maneira confortável, segura e atrativa. A fim de se identificar a influência do espaço construído na atividade de ensino e aprendizagem, realizou-se uma avaliação, sob o ponto de vista da Psicologia Ambiental e da Ergonomia, em uma Instituição Pública de Educação Infantil. Um ambiente é capaz de influenciar o comportamento do usuário, tanto a partir dos seus aspectos físicos, como disposição e tamanho do mobiliário, quanto a partir de seus demais condicionantes. Sendo assim, é pertinente a aplicação de métodos de avaliação da psicologia ambiental, que se centra nas questões psicológicas e sociais, e da ergonomia, que centra-se nos aspectos de funcionalidade e adequação dos postos de trabalho. Esta avaliação contou com a participação dos professores e alunos. Ao final foi possível elaborar um mapa de descobertas que sintetiza todos os pontos positivos e negativos encontrados com a avaliação.

Buildings that shelter centers of infantile education must be configured in order to motivate the interest of the student and the teacher's work. Its infrastructure should allow the professionals can establish educational plans geared to learning and educational development of children in a comfortable, safe and attractive. In order to identify the influence of the space constructed in the activity of education and learning, was become realized an evaluation, under the point of view of Ambient Psychology and the Ergonomics, in a Public Institution of Infantile Education. An environment can influence user behavior, from its physical aspects, such as size and arrangement of furniture, but also from their other conditions. Therefore, it is relevant to application of evaluation methods of Environmental Psychology that focuses on the psychological and social issues and of Ergonomics that focuses on aspects of functionality and suitability of jobs. This evaluation was made with teachers and students participation. At the end one discoveries map was elaborated to synthesize all the positives and negatives found with the evaluation.
