Através do uso da ferramenta metodológica Análise Ergonômica do Trabalho foi realizado um estudo no posto de trabalho das professoras do berçário do NDI/UFSC, em Florianópolis-SC, considerando como demanda o desgaste físico das educadoras e a inadequação do arranjo espacial do berçário. O estudo foi conduzido com apoio em vários métodos, tais como entrevistas, medições ambientais e os métodos RULA e REBA. A análise dos dados apresentou posturas inadequadas, um ruído bem superior ao recomendado e uma organização do espaço limitante. A partir da adequação ergonômica pode-se constatar que à medida que se estabeleça melhores condições de postura e conforto às educadoras, aliadas às informações técnicas operacionais satisfatórias para a realização das atividades, maior segurança e bem estar estará sendo proporcionado aos bebês, motivo principal da tarefa. Foram então propostas recomendações ergonômicas visando a melhorias relativas ao ambiente, ao trabalho das professoras e ao conforto das crianças.

A study in the educators’ work station at baby nursery of NDI/UFSC, located in Florianópolis, was conducted using the Ergonomic Analysis Work methodological tool. The demand considered was the educators’ physical exhaustion and the spatial arrangement of the baby nursery. The study was conducted with support in several methods such as interviews, measurement of environmental variables and the application of the RULA and REBA methodological tools. The data analysis brought forward the inadequate postures of the educators, a noise level far above the recommended average and limited spatial arrangement. By the ergonomic adequacy it is possible to assert that if were established better conditions of posture and comfort for the educators, associating then with satisfactory technical and operational information to carry out the activities, greater safety and welfare would be provided to the babies, the main focus of the work. In regards of this inadequacy, various ideas have been submitted in order to improve the environment, the work of the educators and the comfort of the babies.
