ERGONOMIA E FATORES HUMANOS: UM PANORAMA DAS DEFINIÇÕES COM BASE NA LITERATURA
ERGONOMICS AND HUMAN FACTORS: AN OVERVIEW OF DEFINITIONS BASED ON LITERATURE

Resumo
Este artigo aborda as definições de ergonomia (ou fatores humanos) e suas variedades e mudanças desde o século XIX, quando teve sua origem. Buscando essa temática, fez-se uma pesquisa visando a revisão e levantamento da literatura. Além disso, contextualizou-se as definições de ergonomia por meio de uma linha do tempo. Com base nos resultados foi possível constatar que a definição mais aceita atualmente é a da IEA – International Ergonomics Association. Ao analisar os dados, conclui-se que mesmo que o crescimento do número de publicações nos últimos anos tenha sido quase exponencial, ainda há lacunas nas pesquisas, por isso recomenda-se a continuidade deste estudo ampliando os termos de busca com a inclusão de palavras correlatas a fim de viabilizar uma revisão sistemática da literatura atual sobre o tema.

Abstract
This article addresses the definitions of ergonomics (or human factors) and their varieties and changes since the 19th century when it originated. Seeking this theme, research was conducted aiming at reviewing and surveying the literature. Also, the definitions of ergonomics were contextualized through a timeline. Based on the results, it was possible to verify that the most accepted definition today is that of the IEA - International Ergonomics Association. When analyzing the data, it is concluded that even though the growth in the number of publications in recent years has been almost exponential, there are still gaps in research, so it is recommended to continue this study by expanding the search terms with the inclusion of words correlated to enable a systematic review of the current literature on the topic.
