ENTENDIMENTO COMPARTILHADO: AS INFLUÊNCIAS DAS DIFERENTES RACIONALIDADES MANIFESTADAS NAS ATIVIDADES REALIZADAS AO LONGO DO PROCESSO DE DESENVOLVIMENTO DE NOVOS PRODUTOS

Resumo

Durante o processo de desenvolvimento de novos produtos, problemas surgem e devem ser contornados por meio de alternativas que conciliem as diversas disciplinas envolvidas por meio de soluções de compromisso que, por definição, seriam negociadas entre os agentes. As perspectivas, as representações construídas acerca de determinado objeto são intensamente influenciadas pela disciplina de formação do agente, suas experiências e suas vivências, enfim pelo mundo-objeto no qual este agente habita. Mostramos que a atividade de desenvolvimento de produto está repleta de momentos onde uma avaliação e seleção dentre várias alternativas faz-se necessária. Nesses momentos, a opção de cada um dos agentes certamente refletirá uma boa dose de suas preferências pessoais além de paradigmas e estereótipos ligados à sua disciplina de especialização e à sua formação. Tais diferenças podem impossibilitar a criação entendimento compartilhado e dificultar a obtenção dos resultados esperados no desenvolvimento de novos produtos. Objetos intermediários podem ajudar na criação do entendimento compartilhado, fundamental para o sucesso do projeto. Ainda: O modelo de configuração da atividade, como proposto por Engeström, ao ser aplicado com a intenção de revelar e caracteriza o sistema de atividade a ser transformado, funciona como objeto intermediário de fundamental importância na criação de um entendimento compartilhado sobre a própria atividade em análise.

Abstract

During the process of developing new products, problems arise and must be overcome through alternatives that reconcile the different disciplines involved through compromise solutions that, by definition, would be negotiated between the agents. The perspectives and representations constructed about a given object are intensely influenced by the agent's training discipline, their experiences, and ultimately by the object-world in which this agent inhabits. We show that the product development activity is full of moments where an evaluation and selection among several alternatives is necessary. At these moments, each agent's choice will certainly reflect a good deal of their personal preferences, as well as paradigms and stereotypes linked to their specialization discipline and training. Such differences can make it impossible to create shared understanding and make it difficult to obtain the expected results in the development of new products. Intermediate objects can help create the shared understanding that is critical to project success. Furthermore: The activity configuration model, as proposed by Engeström, when applied with the intention of revealing and characterizing the activity system to be transformed, functions as an intermediary object of fundamental importance in creating a shared understanding about the activity itself in analysis.
